Now is the time to book some family photos before it gets ridiculous hot out there. These kids take the title of best behaved kids that Ive ever shot. Look forward to working with these two again now that I finally got them to say more than a peep.

First time Ive ever been to Chicago. Its the biggest City I have ever been in. I can not begin to tell you how huge this place is and its pretty amazing. I took some random shots while I was there. Mainly of the zoo, the Field Museum, and just some random stuff on the street. The first day you just feel like the city swallows you whole. After you get used to the pace its a pretty cool place to visit. I wouldn’t want to ever live there but look forward to going back and checking it out some more.

So today I got a bunch of emails from photographers that I didn’t know telling me that my work (picture above) had been stolen and put on another photographers site in Arkansas of all places. Her name is Meagan Kunert. She describes herself as an “Arkansas based photographer who loves Jesus” on her site. Id link it but she took it down. As well as her twitter , Facebook, and anything else that would allow me to contact her.

I dont watermark my photos usually. I always felt like it was akin to the car lot putting their ugly sticker on your car. But it looks like I may have to start because of people like Meagan. She’s they typical “mommytog” who preaches sunshine and photo goodness for her clients , but the reality is they are paying for someone else’s work. I actually almost feel sorry for Meagan. The backlash she got on Facebook and twitter before she woke up and deleted her profiles was pretty harsh.

Im thinking she’s done as a photographer. I still want to contact her but its not to bitch her out, Id like to see if she would sell me some of her gear for cheap. I think she at least owes the photos she stole from that much. Right ? So what do you say Meagan ? If none of your gear is stolen why don’t we work something out !

Btw Meg , your from Arkansas ! Aren’t there a ton of preggo teens there you could have hit up for Maternity sessions !?!?

friends of mine

Ive always been jealous of the hip photographers who have cool little side personal photo projects. I finally decided to start my own. Ill be photographing every friend , family member, cable guy who comes to my house. Anyhow , these are two friends of mine from Wisconsin , Tyler and Kelly. They come in each year for Oaks and Derby. FYI if you don’t have any friends from Wisconsin your life is lacking. Wisconsin people are just flat out great. Sort of like Canadians but without the complex.

Had a lot of fun doing this session, really like what the black and white editing does to the mood of these. If you know someone who is expecting soon a maternity session would make a pretty cool shower gift, or you could just buy a breast pump and look like a total creeper.

April Sessions

Been a pretty busy week around here, so instead putting up a post for every session Im just going to post a few shots from a senior, toddler, and family session I did last week. Im pretty much booked for April on the weekends but have some weekdays available. Im also trying to square away my calendar for May. Have a couple of things coming up Im pretty excited to try out.

Zoo !

The Louisville Zoo is pretty great. Got to go today and go behind the scenes with some of the animals and even feed a Giraffe. I know some of the zoo keepers there so maybe when the zoo isn’t filled with your crazy little kids Ill go again and get some more photos.
